33 Apocalypse Ave (and eventually to Limbo City), Friday Afternoon

Last week, Kathy had been an utter lump, eating ice cream and playing sad music and watching a lot of TV while she got used to life without the guys. This week wasn't actually much easier, but Kathy's tolerance for her own moping had run out and left her needing to do something that wasn't just dwell.

Fortunately, it wasn't like she was lacking in options. With the guys gone and Raven spending most of her time out in the woods, the house was just too big and full of memories. So she was moving back to the apartment above Luke's - along with Raven, at least nominally - and this week she'd really gotten her ass in gear when it came to packing. Most of the upstairs was packed, even if those boxes were still mostly stacked downstairs, and now she was just cleaning out their old rooms of the detritus the always seemed to accumulate under furniture and in corners.

Like this old credit card bill of Dante's from...April of 2017. Kathy snorted and rolled her eyes, preparing to toss it into the bin that was half-full of junk when she noticed that one of the items on there was in Hangul. Wait. Had Dante been learning stuff in Korean?

Wait. 김치 크림 파이. Was that a-- Kathy grabbed her phone and did a quick search and yep. It was pretty much exactly the kind of website she'd been expecting with a name like that. Definitely didn't have to do with desserts, that was for damn sure.

"Oh." She wasn't entirely sure what to make of it, especially since that was back when everything had still been really...rough...between them. They'd been friends, in a tentative kind of manner, but no more. So then why...?

"Hi, Portalocity? I've got a portal scheduled to Limbo City for later on this evening, but I was wondering, could I bump it up to earlier than that? Something this afternoon would be good, yeah."

"Better?" Dante groaned. He didn't give himself much time to enjoy having her wrapped all around him: his hips wanted to move. And fast.

"You really need to ask?" Kathy whimpered, tight around him on every withdraw.

Dante laughed, shallow this time. "No," he said, and pressed home, and kissed her, and let all of her wrap all around him.

"Just wanted me to stroke your ego?"

Hell yes she shifted against him on that 'stroke.' That was exactly the kind of person she was.

Also it felt so fuckin' good.

Don't make Dante giggle while he fucked you, Kathy. Though he managed to keep it in, leaving it for the grin that spread across his face.

"It's always better if someone's stroking something," he said, running his hand over her breast before he pinched her nipple.

But getting Dante to laugh was always a good thing, even when he was dick-deep inside her.

She bucked against him, biting his bicep. "I'm always up for some mutual stroking," she said shakily, when she could actually speak again.

"Maybe later," Dante managed, dragging his fingers down her belly as he upped the pace.

"Well yeah," Kathy said, moving in tandem with him, giving way with every push, clinging tight with every withdraw. "I was thinking your hands could stroke me, and my ass could be stroking you."

From the inside. Because he should come in all her holes, dammit.

"Wanna check all of 'em off in one day, huh," Dante managed. It was getting increasingly hard to think, pleasure blossoming through his abdomen on every thrust. "Poor Anders is gonna come home to a mess..."

"He can help us make a bigger one," Kathy said, eyes sliding shut. It was taking far too much concentration to keep them open right now with the way heat was spiraling through her. "It's been a week.."

So clearly she had to make up for five days of missing them in three.

"Hopin' to take something home?" Dante pressed his face into her neck, making the executive decision to stop talking.

The snap of his hips was punctuation enough for both of them.

"You..." she murmured, then sighed, her head tilting back against the mattress. It was unclear if it was meant to be an answer to his question or a comment that just didn't make it.

Her legs tightened around his waist and she ground against him, movements harsh with need. Her breath caught in her throat on every inhale and got dragged out in a shuddering groan with every exhale. With only moments left before she lost all control, her nails created burning lines of red down the length of Dante's back.

Sometimes those nails could cut down right to the core of him. He whimpered, movements growing unsteady, stuttered, and then he was coming, emptying himself inside of her, over her folds as he pulled out, and then back--

Fuck.

Exhausted, the only thing Kathy could do was lean up to give him a lazy kiss somewhere in the general vicinity of his mouth and then flop back onto the bed.

Give her a minute though, so she could give him so much shit for the mess he'd made between her legs. She could feel it dripping down her skin. But even knowing she was going to harass the fuck out of him for it, she couldn't deny the clench of her stomach when she imagined how it looked.

Dante let out a panting breath before he dropped himself onto the mattress next to her. He'd considered and discarded the idea of taking a picture within moments; he just kind of wanted to lay here for a second and get back to himself.

"Mhm."

Which was why they needed video cameras; they could set it up and then not have to worry about actually doing anything later when all they wanted to do was rest.

Kathy didn't even bother trying to make noises. Best she had was tangling her fingers with his for a moment, squeezing lightly before letting go again.

She was the best kind of wreck.

Dante smiled at her across the pillow.

"Hi, beautiful," he said.

Kathy would have sworn she was too tired to spare the muscles to smile, but the warmth in his tone proved that theory wrong pretty quick.

"Hi," she said, meeting his eyes. "Needed that."

"Missed you," Dante said softly.

Kathy smiled and linked fingers with him again. She was still sweaty enough that she didn't exactly feel like full-body cuddling just yet.

"Missed you, too," she murmured. "It feels wrong to have days that you're not a part of."

Lest that sound too overly-sentimental, she added, "Does give us a lot to make up for on the weekends, though."

"I did say I could call more," Dante murmured, touching her cheek with his free hand.

"And I'll call more, too," Kathy promised, since it shouldn't be all on him. "But I was more making a point about how entwined with me you are. Or trying to."

Maybe post-coital wasn't the best time to make words.

"I know," Dante said quietly. "It's weird not to have you here every day too."

"I didn't expect this," she said, rolling over a bit to look up at the ceiling while she gathered her thoughts. "You remember that day at the Perk last spring?" For all their trips to the Perk, she was pretty sure he'd know which one she meant. "It's almost funny now, because we fought over expectations and yet back then I never would have dreamed about us being here, like this. It would have seemed too fantastical, even for me."

Even now, it still surprised her.

Dante laughed softly. "Guess that's what can happen when we both let go of our bullshit, huh?"
