Hotel Room, Baltimore

"Ooooh, it's got an in-suite hot tub-slash-jacuzzi," Kathy said, reading from the room's amenities list, even as she sprawled out on the king-sized bed and could just go looking for said amenities. "And an in-room bar, flat screen color TV with premium cable package--no porn, though, sorry, gotta pay extra for that. 24-hour room and laundry service, in-suite massages, oh my god yes, and a seven-head luxury shower." She paused, thinking that over. "Might have to try that, hmm."

Sometimes you just had to get off the island for awhile, like right after your soul was partially eaten by a skinless tremens and you were now questioning whether or not you should ever drink again. That was, in fact, a very good time to leave the goddamn island, just to get your head on straight and remember that that kind of thing wasn't normal.

Right now, already in a bathrobe that was thick and warm and just a little too big for her, Kathy could almost pretend that the weekend hadn't happened at all. Except that she kept looking at the champagne resting in the bucket of ice and just kinda not feeling it.

The hot tub was huge--definitely large enough for three and probably even four if they were friendly--and the water was clean and clear. Kathy slid in with an appreciative hiss as the temperature of the water, fair skin immediately turning pink. She pulled her hair up on top of her head, wispies and tendrils on her face and neck slowly curling.

"I am never leaving this place," she declared up at him, starting the jets. "I live here now."

"Where do you live now?" Anders called from the doorway, having just let himself in. He was damp, and his cheeks were flushed as he ditched his overnight bag and jacket on the closest convenient chair. "Sorry I took a while -- it's pissing rain."

"Jacuzzi," Dante called, stepping over the edge of the tub into that nice, hot water. "Get your pants off and into the bathroom, asshole."

Kathy shifted over to give Dante enough room to get in and ended up directly over one of the jets. She squealed, cheeks turning pinker still--though she stayed exactly where she was.

Shut up, it was their hotel room, she could do what she wanted.

"Y-yeah!" she called back, her voice voice a little uneven for a moment. "Come warm up in here with us!"

"If you insist," Anders said, a hint of mischief in his voice. He took a quick peak into the bathroom to appreciate the view before undressing, letting his hair out of the ponytail, and coming into the bath to sit on the edge of the jacuzzi.

"I can see what you mean about warming up," he teased. "If I stay in here, things might even get a little hot."

"You hear that? Anders is on fire tonight," Dante said, smirking as he stretched out his legs.

"Well, he's always been smokin', so that tracks," Kathy said, turning a happy smile up at him. She leaned up out of the water to give him a kiss--and to steal his elastic to keep her wet hair from clinging to everything. "Get in here, what are you waiting for? Look how sad Dante looks not to have an Anders in the tub."

"Poor Dante," Anders said, amused. "Maybe I like keeping him waiting."

He slid down toward the water as he kissed Kathy, letting his legs get used to the hot water.

"You're the worst," Dante told him, leaning over so he could pout with his chin resting on Anders' shoulder.

"Aww, look, now he's pouting," Kathy said, wishing she had brought her phone over so she could take a picture of them like that. "You should feel bad. How can you look at those puppy eyes and not wanna make everything all better?"

"Because he keeps telling me I'm the worst," Anders joked, scuffing a hand through Dante's hair. "It hurts my feelings. Maybe he should make things all better."

"So sensitive," Dante sighed, sliding an arm around Anders' waist and leaning into him.

Shut up, Anders felt nice. Even when they weren't doing naked dirty things.

"Personally, I think you should both kiss and make out," Kathy said, tossing her braid over her shoulder. "And then you'll both feel better."

...Not quite the saying, Kath.

Anders splashed a little water at Kathy with the hand he wasn't wrapping around Dante's waist. "You have a dirty mind."

"Totally does. Wonder where she gets it from," Dante mused, tilting his head sideways.

"I learned it from watching you, obviously," Kathy said. "You can ask Anders. Before you showed up, I was a sweet, quiet, gentle girl who blushed through her very first kiss."

Anders snorted. "I didn't remember the blushing," he said, nuzzling into Dante. "The running and making it very clear you just wanted to be friends left an impression, though."

To Dante, he added, "I was too much man for her back then."

Dante snickered loudly. "Oh yeah, I bet you were swinging that dick everywhere back then," he said, pressing a kiss against Anders' cheek. "Super-experienced and shit."

"I was nervous!" Kathy protested, sinking lower into the water. "Boys had never been into me before."

And there was that whole 'crush on the unavailable older guy' thing, but why bring Nick up now?

"Believe me, I definitely blushed. And wrote about it in my diary after you left."

And managed to half-convince herself it had been some kind of mistake, but again, why bring that up now?

"I'll have you know that many people found me resistible," Anders told Dante, a trace of mischief in his voice. (Granted, they'd mostly been in his own head, but what did that matter?) "And I'd love to see those diary pages sometime. Might help me out the next time I try to seduce a virgin."

"Why would you do that?" Dante sighed. "Virgins are hard."

"He has a point," Kathy said, having absolutely less than no intention of ever letting anyone see that old diary. "I was so difficult, it took me two attempts to lose mine."

"Really?" Anders said, barely raising his head from its spot on Dante's shoulder. "I would have thought Ezra knew how all of that worked."

Dante let out a soft snicker, patting Anders on the hip. "He got distracted the first go-around," he said. "If I remember the story right."

"Yup," Kathy said, moving through the water to come up next to Anders. "Wandered off leaving me on a blanket in the middle of the Preserve." She hooked her chin over his shoulder, brushing his cheek with a kiss. "So I was amply paid back for all my first kiss awkwardness."
