So, Anders had graduated and he and Dante were leaving for a two-week trip tomorrow. Kathy felt that was enough of a reason to splurge on a fancy dinner-date, so after putting in a ridiculous order for tapas downstairs (with enough to feed Raven, too, of course), she set about making her room into a romantic little evening hideaway. Her desk with a cloth over it made for a lovely table for two, candles scattered about gave the whole area a nice kind of ambiance, and while a pitcher of sangria wasn't the most romantic drink in the world, it was fruity and delicious and that was really what mattered. She turned her ipod on low and, confident that everything was ready, sent Anders a text:

Hey graduate. Shift almost up? Dinner's ready whenever you are. <3

"Should I trust what you think is normal food?" Anders wondered, also laughing. "For all I know, you're trying to feed me chopped-up crickets and figuring I won't be able to tell."

"No, no, I promise, I'm not!" Kathy protested through her giggles. "I mean, if we ever visit Korea or something, no promises, but for now, you can trust me! Besides, nobody every chops up crickets, that's just silly."

"Why?" Anders asked, genuinely curious. "We cut up everything else we eat. Why not crickets? Better than crunching on the legs whole."

"That's usually how they're eaten though," Kathy confessed. "Toasted, roasted or fried. They're kinda good though and really healthy."

Weren't you learning all sorts of new and exciting things about your girlfriend tonight, Anders?

"...Not the romantic conversation I was picturing us having tonight," she added with a husky chuckle. "I win at seduction."

"I'm ready to take off my pants right now," Anders said, with a straight face. (18-year-old guy. It was probably true.) "Should we eat before we talk about bugs more?"

"Wait, no, go back to the thing about taking your pants off," Kathy said, already filling a plate with bite-sized samples of the spread. "We can skip the bugs entirely if you promise we can talk about that instead."

"Talk about taking my pants off," Anders repeated, amused. "I wouldn't mind, but I'm not sure how much there is to say about it. Are you confused by my technique? And" -- he'd gotten very interested in the food, now -- "is that shrimp?"

Kathy laughed at him again. "I was going to try this smooth line where I got you to demonstrate your technique or something, but I see where your heart and mind truly are." She added more of the shrimp to his plate--she certainly wasn't going to be eating it. "Hey, eat up. You might want plenty of energy for later."

"What exactly do you have planned for me, Miss Li?" Anders asked, reaching to claim the plate as she finished piling food onto it. "I can't say I mind the idea of you wearing me out."

"Well, I'm not going to see you for two whole weeks," Kathy pointed out with a sly smile. "That's a long time to leave me alone with just my toys to keep me company. So I'm thinking I might need to store up a few orgasms tonight to tide me over."

"Might not be quite that long," Anders pointed out. "Dante's going to need to get back for class soon enough. But I'll make you come enough for two weeks, just in case."

[spin_kick_snap]

"I'm pretty sure Dante doesn't care about his classes, first week or not," Kathy said, making a plate for herself and then settling close to him, one leg twining around his. "In fact...it's possible we need to schedule for three. Just in case."

"I see your plan," Anders teased. "You're going to get me so worn out I can't even walk tomorrow, then keep me here as your sex slave."

"You have to admit, it's a pretty great plan," Kathy said with a grin. "I promise to feed you and bring the kitties over so you won't have to miss them. See? I'm a benevolent mistress."

Anders laughed a little and rested his hand on her knee. "The very best. I'm going to miss you so much."

"I'm going to miss you too," Kathy told him. "I hope you have fun though. Oh! I drew up some information to make Disney more manageable. Don't let me forget to give it to you tomorrow morning!"

Protip: She was absolutely going to forget to give it to him tomorrow morning. She was mostly going to be able to give him a bleary kiss goodbye before falling back into sated sleep.

"I won't," Anders promised. (He totally would.)

He smiled at Kathy again before he began to eat with obvious enjoyment.

Kathy smiled back, also happy to tuck into the meal. Tapas were amazing, good to know. "Did Dante tell you he invited me along?" she asked quietly.

Anders shook his head. "He didn't. And as much as I would have loved it, I didn't want to bring it up when I wasn't sure where things stood between you two," he said.

A mouthful of fired potato later. "But you said no?"

"I said no," Kathy agreed, poking at her cheese-stuffed figs. "This was something the two of you had planned for awhile and I didn't want to get in the way and make it complicated. There will be other vacations, right?"

At least, she hoped so. Vacations they could all take together.

"There had better be," Anders said quickly. "Maybe you and I could do something on our own, even. It's only fair."

"That would be nice," she said, before adding, "But not, like, required? I'm not keeping track or demanding tit for tat.

Anders blinked at her. "What if I say I'm the one demanding tit?" he asked.

"Oooh, I like it when you're demanding," Kathy teased, before getting serious again. "I mean it, though. I'd love to go on a vacation with you. Or even you and Dante. I just don't want you to feel like you're obligated to do something with me because you did with him. That's all."

"Good, 'cause I don't think you'd like getting screwed up the arse as much as he does," Anders said, and then wondered whether he'd crossed a line. He cleared his throat with a cough. "That is -- I want to go on a trip with you for you. Not because I did it with him. Promise. Where do you think you'd want to go?"
