Koreoke, Washington DC, Saturday Night

Sure, some people were busy fighting rampaging snow monsters and stuff today. But for those who were friends with Kathy and Dante, they had another option available to them: Kathy's 21st birthday party!

Their venue for the evening was Koreoke, a Korean barbeque restaurant that doubled as a karaoke bar. Kathy had rented out the back room for her party, which included three long barbeque tables, a stage with up to four microphones (in case of boy bands and group numbers), and a bartender along the far wall to serve drinks all night until last call.

Because if turning twenty-one wasn't a good reason to stuff yourself full of grilled meat (well, veggies and tofu in Kathy's case), get drunk, and sing your heart out to the largest selection of karaoke tracks Kathy had ever seen in one place, then what was?!

[Up VERY early for SP because holidays are a THING (and so are BDEs). Open to pretty much anyone who is/was Kathy's friend (or Dante's friends that Kathy also knows)!]

"Of course not," Anders agreed, once he had properly kissed Dante in return. "But take the clothes off first, is all I'm saying. I don't have enough to waste."

Anders gave it a moment of feigned deep thought. "IS there a reason I can't have both?"

"What that tells me is that it's been too long since we went shopping together," Anders bantered in return. "At least the kind of shopping with changing rooms."

"Then maybe we need a shopping date," Dante said, winking. "Get you a whole new wardrobe."

"I should," Anders said, looking down sheepishly at his button-down and faded jeans. "And not just for the dressing room, either. I don't look nearly cool enough to keep up with you and Kathy."

Dante laughed softly. "Maybe it's your job to look comfy while we suffer for fashion."

"You know, I think I'm going with that theory," Anders said easily, and swigged down a bit more soju. "The suffering looks good on you tonight, by the way."

Dante laughed, looking down at himself. He was wearing the red vest his mom had gotten him - not because he was particularly into vests, but.

Shut up. "Thanks. I like you comfy, by the way."

"Thanks to you, too," Anders laughed, reaching out a finger to trace along the fastenings of the vest. "So are you going to sing for us?"

"I need to be a little drunker, but probably," Anders said, grinning back. "Can't pass up the chance to serenade my girlfriend."
