Her stomach lurched again, just thinking about it. She hadn't eat much this past week just for that reason. It felt like February all over again, when eating had been a struggle, the very act bringing up memories she didn't want to relive.

Distantly, Kathy knew she should go home, deal with the mess left in her room, deal with the mess that was her life. And she would! She just--couldn't yet. Not while she still felt like this, ten pounds of crazy in a four pound bag. She just needed to get a handle on it--was trying to get a handle on it--and when she did, she'd go home. She'd apologize for worrying everyone, she'd clean up, she'd be okay.

She was watching him.

Dante met her gaze for a moment. Or three. Then pleasure took over, filling his senses, her wet, tight grip driving him on to harder thrusts and fuzzier thoughts.

And then she did have to close her eyes, that final hard thrust into her sending her careening after him. She tried to keep them open, tried to watch, but it was impossible with the rush of bliss swamping her.

Her legs folded, thighs coming down to rest against her chest, bringing Dante closer with them.

Dante sighed, a long slow exhale. Wasn't completely comfortable like this, so he left her with a shift of his hips, moving to lay down beside her, sideways, drifting.

Kathy immediately stretched her legs up and then outwards, gently tapping Dante on the head with her ankle, then settling them back down on the bed with a tired chuckle.

Fuck she'd needed...pretty much all of that, yeah.

"Showoff," Dante said fondly, a slight, blissed-out smile on his face as he watched her.

"Well, I'm not exactly heading to the Olympics now," she said, her smile closer to something a canary-dining cat might have worn, "so I've gotta try to get a gold somehow."

"Think you got that gold twice over," Dante decided, leaning in to press a kiss to her mouth.

"That what the kids are calling it these days?" Kathy asked, before her mouth was claimed for better pastimes. She rolled on her side, nails trailing over his chest, taking her time with the kiss.

"This kid is," Dante said, leaning back a little. "Mm."

Kathy retreated a few inches, giving Dante some space. "This is a hell of a lot more fun than a medal would be," she conceded. "And I'd go crazy if I had to wait four years between rounds."

"Barely lasted a week this time," Dante teased.

"And it was terrible, never again," Kathy declared. Abstinence doesn't suit me."

She'd been cold and lonely on multiple levels for the last week, ugh.

"Good, 'cause I don't like the look of it on you," Dante said, reaching out to boop her nose.

Kathy stuttered into a true laugh; no matter how often Dante was silly some part of her was always delighted when it happened. It was one of the qualities in him she liked best.

"Even with how desperate I am when it's over?" she joked.

"Nah. Prime Kathy is when you take your time," Dante said, smirking easily at her.

"You just think that because it happens so rarely," Kathy said with a snicker. "The allure of the unusual."

"Nah," Dante said, after a moment. "Happens enough."

His sudden swerve to serious took her aback and she was left blinking at him in surprise. "Really?" she asked, more out of confusion than because she didn't believe him.

Well, maybe a little disbelief, too. A bit.

Dante shrugged. "We go it nice and fast a lot, sure," he said. "But you're fucking fantastic at making me slow down too."

This time, Kathy managed to think before she spoke, swallowing back the I am? that made her sound like a demented echo. "I don't think I've ever thought about it that way," she said instead, resting her cheek on her forearm and looking at him with curiosity. "Of course, by the time we start, I'm not really thinking much at all, so maybe that's it."

"You never get shy or flaily about sex," Dante mused. He reached out to run a finger along the slopes of her back. "'s like a switch just flips."

"You mean the way that I am in the rest of my life?" Kathy asked with a small smile, eyes closed as he ran his fingers along her skin. "It's amazing what happens when I get out of my own way. Stop thinking about things and just do them."

There was a long pause before she added, "Was like that as Banzai, too."

Dante nodded, drawing quiet patterns on her back. "I know."
