So, technically, Kathy's plan was to make tacos for dinner, but no one would know that from the state of the kitchen. She'd decided to make homemade guacamole (because what were tacos other than tasty vehicles for guac?) and now all the taco fixings were kind of pushed off to one side while she finished mashing up the avocados and chopping the cilantro and prepping the other stuff.

And texting Dante, because making tacos was the perfect opportunity for jokes, right? Especially with her shoulder still a little red from Pride?

Looking forward to putting all the tacos into my face tonight, she said, continuing their lazy conversation. No more sausage for me, but tacos are always the way to my...heart.

Dante sighed against her mouth, as she tried to wreck his entire plan of keeping this nice and slow and steady.

His hands slid back up under his own control, settling on her hips. He took a step forward, guiding her in the direction he thought he'd seen her drop off the box.

She wasn't doing it intentionally! But, damn, Dante was a good kisser. She made a disappointed noise when he started moving as she had to unwrap her foot from his leg. Thank you, uncanny balance, for making it possible to be kissed silly and walked backwards at the second time.

The box lay on the table, half-hidden by several bowls of taco ingredients, on its side. Not that Kathy was paying attention to anything but his mouth leisurely devouring hers.

Dante was paying just enough attention to pluck it off the table as they passed. "Bedroom," he said, nipping gently at Kathy's jaw.

"Oh god yes," Kathy groaned. She pulled away so she could concentrate on the difficult job of walking--then immediately lunged back to bite at his neck, sucking the soft skin up between her teeth.

Dante couldn't repress the whimper that escaped his mouth, his hand settling on Kathy's arm. "Someone's fired up," he said, moving towards her bedroom with a little more haste.

"Someone else knew what he was in for when he started kissing me," Kathy retorted, her tongue poking at the red skin. She kissed him again in the hallway, back pressed against her bedroom door as her free hand groped for the knob to open it up and let them both spill inside.

Dante laughed softly. "And here I thought I was going slow," he said.

He slipped past her, finally pulling free, mostly so he could put the box on her nightstand.

"You are," Kathy assured him. "You'll notice we're not naked." Brushing her hair back, she added, "I'm not trying to rush you. I just needed a chance to...say hello maybe?"

With her teeth.

"Is that how they say hello in Korean?" Dante asked, knocking the top off the box.

Then he flopped back onto her bed.

She paused to appreciate Dante sprawled out on her bed. It was a pretty sight, no one could blame her for taking an extra few seconds to enjoy it, right?

"Probably these days," she said, flippantly. "I know it's definitely how we say it in LA."

Okay. This was probably a terrible time for that kind of joke. But Kathy had to be able to joke about it--it made up for the times she still woke up trying not to scream.

Dante propped himself up on his elbows, watching her right back.

After a second or two, he decided to get rid of his shirt, since she was watching anyway, stripping it off in one smooth move. "Frisky West Coasters."

Her smile at him was less sex and more gratitude, even as she watched him lose his shirt with avid eyes. "It's because we're less uptight about stuff than you stuffy East Coast types," she told him walking towards the bed, unbuttoning her shirt as she crossed the distance. "All that warmth and sunlight makes us hedonists."

Her shirt dropped to the ground just as her knees hit her mattress and she leaned in for another kiss.

"We're not stuffy," Dante said, grinning at her. "We just know how to party in the shade, too."

He cupped her cheek again as she neared, tugging her into that kiss.

It was still gentle.

"Hmph." Kathy's snort was swallowed by the kiss and though she was tempted to nip at his lip, instead she followed suit and kept the kiss easy. Gentle. Unhurried. She's was willing enough to follow Dante's lead, at least until he drove her crazy enough that she had to turn the tables on his and spice things up.

It would be interesting to see if it got there. After all, he did like it rough.

"Not the shade I have a problem with," she murmured against his mouth. "It's the cold."

"Poor tender-skinned LA girl," Dante murmured.

He ran a finger down her spine, slow but sure, eventually dipping it under the waistband of her skirt.

Goosebumps followed his finger and she shivered as it trailed down her back. She arched like a cat, pressing her breasts against him as her head tipped back. "Guess--guess you'll just have to be gentle with me, huh?"

"That was the plan," Dante agreed, his head dipping low to press kisses to her now-exposed throat.

"Oh really?" she asked, tilting her head further so he had more skin to kiss and caress. "You think you can keep this up for long?"

She was game to try.

"Willing to give it a spin," Dante said. He slid both of his hands back up, smoothing over her breasts as he made his way down to her clavicle slowly.

Kathy was tempted to see how long his resolve could hold up against her playing rough with him, but the thought of seeing how long they could keep this up--and what it would be like, soft and gentle between them--intrigued her. "Well then, let's see what happens," she said, running her fingers teasingly through his white hair and down the back of his neck.

Honestly, it felt a little stranger now that she knew what he was gunning for, and after her trying to push it the way they normally did. But Dante wasn't going to let that throw him.

He gave her a little nudge, coaxing her onto her back.

Kathy lay back, slowly ceding control of this encounter to Dante. It was harder than she expected, letting him set the pace and keep to it. Part of her brain insisted she push back, try to make him lose control, too.

She ignored it and worked to trust in him instead.

Her hair fanned out across the pillow and she looked up at him with a smile full of invitation to do his worst. Or rather, his gentlest.

Dante smiled down at her. He pressed a kiss to one of her shoulders, his fingers trailing up her stomach, playing over the skin of her breast.

He pinched her nipple, smoothing over it with the palm of his hand a moment later.

That pinch earned him a harsh gasp, as Kathy jerked upwards towards his hand. Her nipple puckered against his palm, the other belatedly following suit a moment later as a flush spread across her chest.

In return her hand skimmed over his side, the softness of her fingertips replacing the usual harsh drag of her nails.

Was it weird that that made Dante smile? Because it did.

He slid down, capturing her nipple in his mouth. He was gentle there, too, even as he teased it with his tongue.
