So, technically, Kathy's plan was to make tacos for dinner, but no one would know that from the state of the kitchen. She'd decided to make homemade guacamole (because what were tacos other than tasty vehicles for guac?) and now all the taco fixings were kind of pushed off to one side while she finished mashing up the avocados and chopping the cilantro and prepping the other stuff.

And texting Dante, because making tacos was the perfect opportunity for jokes, right? Especially with her shoulder still a little red from Pride?

Looking forward to putting all the tacos into my face tonight, she said, continuing their lazy conversation. No more sausage for me, but tacos are always the way to my...heart.

"Always love giving head, don't you?" Dante said, the downwards motion of her arm enough to shift his attention away from her mouth for a moment.

His own hand settled over the back of her head, gentle, not guiding. "Don't know how the hell I lasted this long not seeing this again."

Kathy's head bobbed several more times before she pulled away enough to speak, though she stayed close enough to let her lips brush against him as they formed the words. "The important thing is that we both get to enjoy it now," she said, then traced her tongue in a languorous circle around the tip. "Hand me the lube, will you?"

Dante's eyes had shut for a moment, but now they fluttered back open. He let out a soft sigh. "Mmkay," he said, stretching back to grope around the nightstand-- ah, there.

He held up the little bottle for her, triumphant.

Kathy chuckled at his expression and took the lube from him, squeezing it generously over her hand. And then she lowered her mouth to him again before a finger slid down and pressed against his opening.

Dante's breath caught, came out hitched and strangled at her new pace. His fingers clenched in the pillow behind him. "Kathy," he said, the tremble in his voice as much of a warning as the word itself.

Kathy drew away entirely, mouth off, fingers out. "You know," she said, as conversationally as she could, considering how breathy her voice was, "Ezra once told me about the joys of edging. You ever do that?"

She poured more lube onto the strap-on, spreading it around with leisurely strokes. Her own wetness gleamed there, too.

He'd kind of made his own bed by slowing this thing down so much. Might as well lie in it.

Kathy obligingly moved away--mostly so she wouldn't be tempted to reach down and continue playing. She settled on the edge of the bed and watched him, smile going from smug to fond and back again while he tried to get himself under control.

Every part of him ached and felt hungry for more. A little less so the longer Dante sprawled, but not enough for him not to mutter, "Ezra always was full of shit," out loud.

He finally looked over and caught her eye.

"Maybe so, but he taught me some useful tips," Kathy said, smiling into Dante's blue, blue eyes. It was like Eva had stolen a chunk of summer and tucked it into her son's eyes. "Without him, you'd have had a much harder time getting me into bed. Wouldn't have believed anyone as hot as you would have been interested, not really."

"I can appreciate that," Dante said, "And still think he's a terrible fucking asshole with weird ideas about sex."

He leaned forward, running a finger along the length between her legs. "So how's the vibe part work?"

Kathy's eyebrows rose up. She knew she and Ezra had a fraught relationship, but she hadn't realized Dante felt that way, too. "I'd ask about that, but the plan is to back you away from the edge, not kill the mood completely," she told him.

But really, she was curious. Especially since she wasn't sure Ezra would ever talk to her again.

"There's a little pocket," she explained, letting the topic of Ezra go. "Right in the back of the harness, here." She pointed at the leather, about an inch or so below where the strap-on connected.
