"Hey, it wasn't bad," Dante said, tilting his head and finding - to his disappointment - that the buns were gone. "And by the time I got sick of it, it was usually time to screw our brains out."

... he was an absolute impossible pain when he didn't know what he wanted.

When he wasn't quite as fussed anymore, the elephants in the room could go get bent.

"And having a lot of sex made him too happy to complain about the singing, and me too happy to complain about stopping at every pizza place we passed," Anders added. (If Dante was shameless, he would be too.) "Ten out of ten, would recommend."

"Clearly, I need to start going on more roadtrips," Kathy said with a laugh, leaning against the table. "My last two weeks were nothing like that. However, if you need a recap of the main plotlines of multiple TV shows or the current rankings for various cooking shows, I'm your girl."

"How about we catch you up on ours and you can catch us up on yours?"

Yeah, Dante knew he was walking on dangerous ground when he wasn't completely sure he could do this yet.

But he couldn't help himself. He had a fairly limited amount of different speed sections.

"Or we could go to the couch and see whether we remember how to all mess around together," Anders suggested, since some part of him always wanted to go right up to the elephant in the room and say hi.

Kathy kind of jumped at that...which pressed her against the table harder than she'd intended and she squealed. Stupid, decorative--ahem, anyway.

"I mean, I wouldn't complain?" she offered, easing away from the table a little so as to not do that again.

...She could figure out the mechanics of sitting when she got there.

Dante let out a soft laugh, sliding out of his seat. "You okay?" he asked, taking a few steps closer.

Very deliberate steps.

"What's under your skirt?" Anders asked, looking about as concerned as he could look while he was also watching Dante move that way.

From:

Right? Watching Dante move that way was as distracting as all hell. She'd complimented him on his stalk multiple occasions and even now, she was biting her lip as he moved towards her.

"You should look and see," she said softly, dragging her eyes off of Dante and over to Anders. "If you're curious."

It was just a pretty little bit of decoration was all.

This was probably one of those do-or-die moments; Dante could laugh this off and go back to being the guy sleeping with Kathy's boyfriend, or he could push this and maybe wind up somewhere he didn't want to go.

Of course he put his hand on Kathy's hip and pushed up her skirt. Only one direction to go in. "I'll help."

Well, Anders wasn't about to be left behind. He undid the zipper on Kathy's skirt and pulled the cloth away, nuzzling toward her neck as he did.

Kathy wasn't sure whose hand found it first. With no underwear in the way, her skin was already extra-sensitive, goosebumping at the first bit of attention from wandering hands. "Umm, surprise?" she said, voice as weak as her knees felt.

Boyfriend's mouth at her throat. Friend's hand on her hip. How was she supposed to keep her composure exactly?

Dante laughed softly, pressing up against her so she bumped into Anders. "How about we get you out of this everything before the pizza's done?"

"Naked Kathy," Anders laughed. "Might make getting the pizza out a little tricky, but that's part of the fun."

His hands smoothed over her flanks, and he made a surprised noise when he felt something hard low on her ass. "Guess I found the secret."

"I might make one of you get it out," Kathy said, then shivered as she felt Anders' hand on her ass. "The pizza."

Important to clarify. At least that she also meant the pizza.

"Is that really how you want me?" she asked Dante, her voice challenging but her eyes unsure. "Naked?"

Dante shrugged one shoulder casually, his hand sliding up her leg. "Yeah," he said.

Just going where the feeling took him.

Like kissing her right now, not nearly as chaste as before.

A frisson moved up Anders' spine as he watched them kiss, and he leaned in to claim Dante's mouth for his own when he was done. His fingers stroked down Kathy's rear, teasing a bit as he tried to suss out what her surprise was.

Going with his instincts seemed to be the only thing he could do.

Kathy fell into Dante's kiss hard enough that she lost some of her nervousness. The problem with planning this out in advance? Kathy'd had two days to think (and overthink) this whole evening and how much was riding on it and how easily she could screw it all up and that had given her a serious case of nerves.

And a tendency to go overboard, like with dinner. And certain accouterments.

But now that Dante was kissing her and shutting down the voices in her head, she was able to relax. To let the nerves dissolve away in a tide of rising desire. Even when he left her mouth and Anders claimed it, she was still sandwiched between them, only a shirt in the way, getting to see the lazy way their mouths moved and the familiarity of their kiss.

God, they looked good together. Not just sexy. Good.

Dante sighed into the kiss, his hand tugging the tie out of Anders' hair as the other one remained on Kathy's hip.

He bit gently at Anders' bottom lip, giving himself a moment to get lost in a slow, deliberate kiss before coming up for air.

Nice. Anders found himself giving Dante a dazed smile when they broke apart, and raised his eyebrows in a way that meant thank you.

He wasn't sure what to do about the decoration Kathy was wearing, or how to remove it without hurting her, so he left it where it was for the moment and slid his exploratory hand under her shirt to cup a breast.

Kathy just hummed in contentedness and leaned back against him, her head resting on his shoulder. "Pretty," she informed them both. "If that's how tonight goes, that's cool."

Dante laughed softly. He dropped a kiss on Kathy's shoulder. "I thought tonight was gonna involve you getting naked," he said, fingers hooking in her waistband, tugging down the skirt.

"She could be naked while she watches us kiss," Anders suggested, reaching behind Kathy to unfasten her bra. "I wouldn't mind that much at all, though I thought she was supposed to join in."

"I figured there weren't any 'supposed to' tonight," she said as her clothes fell off of her one by one. "Whatever happens, happens. Maybe you just want me naked and trembling with need all night as I watch you." Which--hot. Not as hot as joining in, but still really hot. "Or maybe you want me naked and straddling and offering kisses tonight." She turned to claim Anders' mouth for a kiss of her own. "Whatever. I'm easy."

Much easier to say all of this now than it had been to convince herself of it earlier.
