Housewarming Party! Apartment Above Luke's, Friday Afternoon Till Evening

Raven and Kathy were officially moved in!

Okay, not everything was done and most of their stuff was still at Eliot's, but they'd gotten a lot of work done painting and assembling furniture and most of what was left could be moved over a bit at a time. Which meant...it was close enough to being fully moved in that a small party was warranted. Especially if you were looking for a way to show you were nice, sane and adjusted a reason to party!

The party proper started at 6pm with plenty of delicious foods to enjoy, but people were more than welcome to come over early and help with the remaining wall painting and furniture assembling there was to do. Help was appreciated, but mostly people were invited to over to eat, relax, and help make this new place feel like a real home.

Anders hadn't seen Dante in a few days, and he realized he was disappointed when he got up to Kathy and Raven's apartment and found his roommate still nowhere in sight. Even if things between Dante and Kathy were weird, free food usually brought him out.

He shrugged it off as best as he could and grabbed a boxed bookshelf. That seemed like about the limit of his carpentry skills.

Kathy, have some chill.

Still, her smile of greeting was bright as she bounced over to him, a swipe of sunshiny yellow paint on her cheek and some lavender flecks in her hair. "Glad you could come. Is Dante coming later? He promised me a bottle of vodka."

Anders returned the greeting before shaking his head, faintly puzzled. "He hasn't been home in a few days. I thought maybe he was helping you get things set up."

He'd hoped that, anyhow. It was a more pleasant thought than the Limbo City possibility.

Kathy shook her head. "I haven't talked to him since the phone call the other day. Maybe he's in Baltimore for a bit?"

Because, yeah, the other option was Limbo City and nobody wanted that.

"I'll see if I can get him on the phone after the party tonight," Anders offered. "I don't think he'd take off just to get out of having to give away any of his vodka, do you?"

"Prooobably not?" Kathy hazarded--but then, she knew better than to think she could predict what either of them would think or so with any accuracy these days. "Have you checked with Ada or Isabella, maybe?"

Anders shook his head. "I wasn't worried yet. But I'll do that after the party, unless they turn up here."

Kathy didn't think they'd come. She'd barely known either of them before and she was willing to bet that Ada, at least, had absorbed some of the guys' antipathy after her death.

"Sounds good," she said. "Hopefully it's just a Baltimore bender. He'd call if anything had happened, right?"
