Room 508, Sunday Afternoon

Today had been declared a lazy day. Kathy didn't have them often, but even she needed some downtime occasionally. Other than going to take a shower--after which she'd changed right back into a pair of pajamas--she hadn't left the room. Right now she was sprawled across her bed watching Netflix on her laptop because going all the way to the common room was just too far. Eventually she'd end up getting hungry enough that snacks would no longer suffice and she'd have to figure out a food plan, which would probably involve pants, ugh, but she was determined to get as much lounging in as possible before that.

Overall, this was a pretty good day. Maybe she should be lazy more often.

"And that's not -- embarrassing?"

"Noooooo," Kathy said, shaking her head. "It's generally what I want to hear. It's not, like, profanity or calling names or anything. It's more like...sharing in explicit detail what exactly he's going to do to me. Or what he wants me to do to him. And that's really hot."

"Huh." Raven rolled over onto her back to stare at the ceiling herself, both trying to picture it and trying very hard not to. If she hadn't been in her natural form, she'd be rippling faintly in her distraction. "I never really thought about . . . talking. During."

"Oh?" Kathy asked. "Well, it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's pretty much an affirmation of wanting. And for me, being in my head so much, it sparks my imagination, you know? He says something, I imagine it, and--" she shivered. "It's great."

"Do you talk back?"

Kathy nodded, biting her lip and unable to meet Raven's eyes. "I mean, sometimes, it's only fair. And others...I can't help myself. I just have to say want I want to do to him. Or have him do to me. Or tell him just how much I'm liking whatever it is he's doing."

"Sounds --" Noisy. "-- nice. I mean, I don't think I'd be into it, but it's cool that you're getting something you like."

Kathy wouldn't be able to deny the noisy part if Raven had brought it up. Even when she wasn't talking, she was loud. It made for a drastic difference with her everyday self.

"I--yeah," Kathy said, playing with the ends of her hair. "It's really interesting. A lot of the stuff I like is not anything I ever pictured myself liking."

"What did you think you'd like?"

"Softer, gentler, more romantic," Kathy admitted. "You know, the kind of sex you see in movies, where the couple is surrounded by lush fabric and there's a rose being slid down someone's abdomen and they whisper tender words to one another under warm, golden light."

She shrugged a little, feeling silly. "To be fair, I mean, I might like that, too? I don't really know? But it turns out that I like more than that."
