Today had been declared a lazy day. Kathy didn't have them often, but even she needed some downtime occasionally. Other than going to take a shower--after which she'd changed right back into a pair of pajamas--she hadn't left the room. Right now she was sprawled across her bed watching Netflix on her laptop because going all the way to the common room was just too far. Eventually she'd end up getting hungry enough that snacks would no longer suffice and she'd have to figure out a food plan, which would probably involve pants, ugh, but she was determined to get as much lounging in as possible before that.

Overall, this was a pretty good day. Maybe she should be lazy more often.

Anders had finished his exciting battle against paperwork and come back to the dorms to find his room was in use. He went off in search of another place to be, pausing at Kathy's room to lean in her door.

"Dante has company," he announced, half sour and half amused. "Can I stay here until my room is safe again?"

Kathy glanced up and beamed, waving him in. "You know you're always welcome, even when your roommate isn't entertaining half the school."

"I don't think he's at half the school yet," Anders said thoughtfully, wandering in and taking a seat near Kathy. "He might need another two weeks for that. But thank you. It's good to have a safe space."

"I'm sure he'll get there, though," Kathy said, hitting the space bar to pause her show and closing her laptop. Anders was much better than making her way through old 90s TV shows. "He's very pretty. Not that that's not true of most of the people who go here, good lord."

Didn't the administrators know how hard it was to get work done when you were constantly surrounded by hot people?

"So what have you been up to? I feel like we've barely seen one another outside of class." And in class, Kathy tended to be focused on lessons.

"He might be even prettier than the average," Anders acknowledged. "If he wasn't, I'd miss Rapunzel more."

Rapunzel had been pretty, even very pretty. But she hadn't been as prone to showing it off as Dante.

"And I wish I had an interesting answer," he added, laughing a bit. "Mostly it's classes and work. I met my future king last weekend, so that was something."

"Your future king?" Kathy asked, leaning back. "That sounds interesting. He was at the reunion? Did he used to go to school here?"

"He taught here," Anders explained, shaking his head. "Alistair. He seemed all right, for a former Templar. Said he knew Cassandra where he comes from."

He had also reacted to Anders' name in a way that suggested he had heard it before, but Anders still wasn't quite sure what he made of that."

"Wow, so that makes how many people from Thedas on the island now?" Kathy asked. "Four? Five? I mean, not that he's still on the island, but you know what I mean. You used to be the only one and now they're crawling out of the woodwork." She shot him a worried glance. "He didn't give you a hard time, did he? Being a Templar and all?"

"And he came with a friend, too," Anders added. "So six of us for the weekend, at least. We're taking over. And no, no hard time. He said the Templar bit hadn't exactly been his choice."

He smiled idly over at Kathy. "So you've met Isabela and Merrill? Or you just know of them?"
