Housewarming Party! Apartment Above Luke's, Friday Afternoon Till Evening

Raven and Kathy were officially moved in!

Okay, not everything was done and most of their stuff was still at Eliot's, but they'd gotten a lot of work done painting and assembling furniture and most of what was left could be moved over a bit at a time. Which meant...it was close enough to being fully moved in that a small party was warranted. Especially if you were looking for a way to show you were nice, sane and adjusted a reason to party!

The party proper started at 6pm with plenty of delicious foods to enjoy, but people were more than welcome to come over early and help with the remaining wall painting and furniture assembling there was to do. Help was appreciated, but mostly people were invited to over to eat, relax, and help make this new place feel like a real home.

Also she was noticing the total lack of chocolate on this table, Kathy.

Kathy, that was sad. Not surprising, but sad.

Ringo grinned over at Alluka. "We can always go get some on our own on the way home," she pointed with a little laugh.

"Ice cream?" she asked hopefully.

"Well, you know I never say no to ice cream," Ringo responded with a grin. "So make sure to save some room, I guess, right?"

"I always have room for chocolate," Alluka insisted, but she beamed. "And I like Kathy's desserts too!"

They just... weren't chocolate.

"But there isn't enough chocolate involved?" Ringo suggested, guessing at Alluka's opinion on the matter.

But there were vegetables! That was kinda...like chocolate, right?

"Aren't they cute?" Kathy asked. "They're a popular dessert in Korea. There's a filling inside!"

Which was also not chocolate.

Honestly, Kathy. What did you have against chocolate?

"They are cute!" she said happily, picking one up carefully. "What kind of filling?"

She liked chocolate. But she also liked introducing Alluka to things that weren't chocolate. She needed to know other food groups existed!

"Red bean paste!" Kathy said happily. "The dessert flavor of my childhood."

Alluka blinked at her.

"Beans are a dessert?!"

She was willing to trust you, Kathy, but the beans she was thinking of didn't seem like very good at playing dessert in things.

"Red bean paste is very sweet," Kathy promised. "It's not like green beans or something. They're prepared special. Ask Ringo! She knows how tasty red bean paste is. Orrr..." Kathy glanced around and then whispered, "You can try a bungeoppang now, before dinner."
