Room 508 to Baltimore, Friday Night
Sep. 25th, 2015 08:09 amKathy studied herself in the mirror, frowning slightly. She had done a lot of stuff as Banzai, but trying to infiltrate the mafia in disguise was a whole new level of scary. If she messed up, the Ukrainians would know a lot more about her than she really wanted them too--like what she looked like, as just one exciting example. But this was an opportunity she couldn't pass up; they were recruiting locals under the guise of a motorcycle drag race, with the top performers invited to a very exclusive party--so exclusive that no matter how hard she tried, Kathy couldn't get the location. Over the past year, she'd managed to create a decent circle of street-level informants and yet no one could tell her anything besides what was 'public' knowledge: an illegal drag race, with plenty of money to be made from betting, and an excellent afterparty for the winners. That was it.
It was all very frustrating as hell.
Even the race itself was frustrating. If it had at least been a drag race with cars, Kathy might have been able to put her Driver's Ed experience into play...somehow. She was still lacking a car, but she would have at least known how to race. Ish. Maybe. But this was a motorcycle race, and Kathy had one hour of experience driving one of those from several years ago. That would get her exactly nowhere. If she had more time, she might even have been able to appeal to Parker or Eliot for help, but she'd just gotten the message that everything was going down tonight.
Kathy didn't often swear, but this whole situation deserved quite a hearty "God dammit!"
Her current plan was to dress like a biker bunny, head to where the race was going to take place, and hope to insinuate herself in the group that got brought to the party. Yeah, she could foresee no problems with that, sure.

[Primarily for one, but open to the roomie beforehand if she so chooses. Everything that happens after they leave the island is NFB for distance.]

Date: 2015-09-25 03:06 pm (UTC)He tilted his head at her speculatively, thinking about this.
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 03:11 pm (UTC)Should she be nervous?
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 03:19 pm (UTC)And that was more or less the point where he went in for the kiss, at least if she let him.
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 03:31 pm (UTC)Her hands found their way under Dante's coat, sliding into one of the many holes in his tee to rest on his chest, nails pricking ever-so-slightly into his skin.
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 03:36 pm (UTC)He wasn't Ezra - he wasn't the subtle guy. But he had aggression on his side, and an utter willingness to apply teeth to her bottom lip, and that had to count for something.
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 04:07 pm (UTC)She moaned in her throat when his teeth found her, nails getting sharper on his chest. Where they'd just been incidental to her clutching at him, now they were pressing in with intent, leaving red half-moons beneath.
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 04:14 pm (UTC)And it might help loosen her up a bit.

Date: 2015-09-25 04:24 pm (UTC)(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 04:30 pm (UTC)He wasn't actually going to do much more with it, but it was a promise.
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 04:39 pm (UTC)On the other hand, she was very nicely not thinking right now, save for greedy little thoughts like Nice and More.
She did lift her other leg up, climbing Dante like a tree, the heel of her boot scoring his lower back while she worked to get settled. Her hips flexed against his, pressing against the front of his jeans as her tiny skirt slid even higher on her thighs.
Kathy, this was not getting you to Baltimore any faster.
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 04:46 pm (UTC)He kept his hand on her leg, and yes, he had absolutely no trouble keeping her upright. But he did pull his mouth away, just a fraction of an inch. "Still having trouble thinking of wanting to hang off my dick?" he teased.
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 05:09 pm (UTC)"I dunno," she said in a voice gone husky. "Any trouble wanting to hang off mine?"
Yes, her metaphorical dick, what of it.
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 05:14 pm (UTC)He almost dropped Kathy. (Almost.)
Sorry. He'd respond in a second, when he'd wiped the blissed-out expression off his face.
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 05:19 pm (UTC)Or the color of her underwear (black, obviously) that she flashed before she had a chance to pull her skirt back down again after said slide.
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 05:23 pm (UTC)That had taken him longer to think up than he was going to admit to.
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 05:57 pm (UTC)And she was just going to take a moment to rest her forehead on his chest, just until her breathing got back under control again. Thank god they were going to Baltimore for important reasons. It would keep her from doing anything stupid, like mentioning she knew places in the city that rented rooms by the hour.
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 06:05 pm (UTC)"So," he said, finally. "Cab?"
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 06:17 pm (UTC)"Cab," she agreed. She'd originally just planned to walk--well, run--since she was much faster than any car could go within city limits, but until her legs stopped feeling like they were made of rubber, getting a chance to sit down was a great idea.
She made a quick call to arrange for a taxi to pick them up on the end of the causeway. "So, umm..." she started. It was hard making conversation when most of her just wanted to crawl back and resume what they'd begun. She might no longer be in her own head, but she wasn't sure that letting her hormones do her thinking for her was a much better idea. "I guess that bruise will help sell things," she said, glancing at his neck. "Unless it'll heal before we get there? I have no idea how fast you do that."
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 06:19 pm (UTC)Then he threw in a smirk, just so he could.
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 06:37 pm (UTC)(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 06:54 pm (UTC)"I was planning to," he said.
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 07:00 pm (UTC)Or wanted to reinforce their cover. Whatever.
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 07:06 pm (UTC)A cab pulled up near the causeway. "But there's our ride."
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 07:13 pm (UTC)She gave directions to the driver, having him let them off outside of a restaurant not far from where the chop shop was located. It made more sense to hit that up first than try to mug someone for their bike.
"I don't suppose there's any way we can try to do this subtly?" she asked. "I'm not exactly dressed for fighting an entire gang of car thieves."
(no subject)
Date: 2015-09-25 07:15 pm (UTC)If she wanted subtlety, she should've brought Ezra.
