Did he want a verbal response to that? Ada just hummed softly, but the arms around his waist got a tighter for a moment.

"Same," she replied, real warmth in her voice. "I ain't spent near enough time with you lately."

Things like Snapchats or texts didn't count as real-time. They were nice, but she'd missed him.

"Maybe next year we throw you a party; let you wear your rightful crown in all your glory."
