Eliot flinched when her hand touched his shoulder, the knife wobbling for a moment before he held it steady again. Not driving it forward, behind the man's jaw and into his carotid artery -- but not pulling it away either.
"I've already let him live twice," he growled. "I ain't makin' that mistake again."
The Butcher glared back at him, hissing like a cat. Eliot put more pressure on his throat to shut him up.
