Koreoke, Washington DC, Saturday Night
Sure, some people were busy fighting rampaging snow monsters and stuff today. But for those who were friends with Kathy and Dante, they had another option available to them: Kathy's 21st birthday party!
Their venue for the evening was Koreoke, a Korean barbeque restaurant that doubled as a karaoke bar. Kathy had rented out the back room for her party, which included three long barbeque tables, a stage with up to four microphones (in case of boy bands and group numbers), and a bartender along the far wall to serve drinks all night until last call.
Because if turning twenty-one wasn't a good reason to stuff yourself full of grilled meat (well, veggies and tofu in Kathy's case), get drunk, and sing your heart out to the largest selection of karaoke tracks Kathy had ever seen in one place, then what was?!
[Up VERY early for SP because holidays are a THING (and so are BDEs). Open to pretty much anyone who is/was Kathy's friend (or Dante's friends that Kathy also knows)!]

"Between that and the radio, you should get a good idea of what to expect," Kathy nodded. "On the plus side, Caritas is usually a safe place to go and there's booze there."
Re: Eat! Eat!
Okay, he was in good company.
"I'll have to keep that place in mind for the next time." Unless it was something he could actually... not want to fight, but have to fight with Venom's help. "Evil Frosty's were pretty freakin' annoying."
Re: Eat! Eat!
Kathy hadn't done that. She'd just struck a bunch of them with lightning.
Re: Eat! Eat!
"I hadn't thought about that method of attack," Eddie replied with a surprised laugh. "I was more... trying not to get frostbite."
Re: Eat! Eat!
"Same," Kathy admitted, laughing. "I'm a California girl. Snow is the devil and I'm cold from mid-October through May. Drives the guys nuts because they're reminded that I really love them for their body heat."

Her feet were freakishly cold. Even her dog whined when she stuck them under him.
Re: Eat! Eat!
"Chore chart?"
Re: Eat! Eat!
She snickered. "Okay, but first they'd have to agree to chores," she said. "I have no idea how they work that out between them."
All she knew was that the house was generally clean enough that she didn't run screaming when she visited.
Re: Eat! Eat!
"Maybe try just putting it up like one of 'em did it." Eddie. Eddie, please don't give relationship advice.
Re: Eat! Eat!
"I just stick my feet on whoever's closest and listen to 'em cry," Kathy said cheerfully. "It's comfort and entertainment all at once."
Re: Eat! Eat!
"I think I woulda gotten kicked off the bed if I'd done that before."
Re: Eat! Eat!
"I'm clingy," Kathy said, her lips twitching. "They'd have to pry me off first."
Re: Eat! Eat!
"See, my ex had some sharp elbows." And Eddie was so whipped in a relationship.
Re: Eat! Eat!
"Dante wouldn't even register my elbows," Kathy grouched. Fucking Nephilim. "And Anders is a monster with the puppy eyes."
...She was also whipped.
Re: Eat! Eat!
"Okay, this place makes me hafta ask... we talkin' real monster here?"
Asking for a friend.
Re: Eat! Eat!
"Nope, the cute blonde over there," Kathy said, pointing. "Mage, not monster. The blue girl isn't a monster either, she's a mutant. Shapeshifter and my old roommate."
She didn't think anyone here except Eliot classified as 'normal' (Eliot really didn't, either, but he was human on a genetic level), but she wasn't sure how 'out' anybody was.
"Shapeshifter and Superball, that was us."
